An oxheart heirloom that has the advantage of being both mouth-watering and gorgeous! This delicious open-pollinated variety came from Brenda Hillenius (of Oregon) who got these plants from her grandfather, Kenneth Wilcox, who received the original seeds from a Russian immigrant. It matures early for a heart-shaped tomato; its large, appealing pink-red fruit normally weighs about 1 pound. The “Anna Russia” offers superb rich old-fashioned flavors with lots of juice. As with most Russian varieties, it tolerates cool weather very well.
